We have a new submissions process!

You now can easily submit your work to us by sending an email via Posterous.com.

Here are the steps:

1. Open up a new email.

2. Create at title and compose the body just as you would like to see it published on our site. Please include your name and city of residence somewhere in the body. If you do no live in Hampton Roads, please provide some information to how you are connected to the area.

3. Optional, unless you are submitting art: Attach any images you would like to your email. Please make sure to resize theme for the Web. We only have but so much server space and broadband.

4. Optional: You can also share video and audio from popular sites in the text. (For more information on this process, please read Posterous.com’s FAQ. )

5. Send your email to post@ghentreader.posterous.com.

NOTE: Your email will not post immediately to our site. We will select the best submissions from our moderation queue.

The Ghent Reader accepts poetry, fiction, essays and art  for publication on our site. We also accept rants, raves and observations about life in Hampton Roads. Just be creative.
