Greetings Y’all Poets, Bards, n Troubadours

A short one this week, but celebratory. With luck, I expect we will have Skipping Stones Vol VI in hand as early as Friday!!! It’s been a long, frustrating journey, but we are nearly there. Between now and the end of December I will be working out a tentative schedule of release receptions and readings in each of “the 7 Cities” and beyond (including York/Poquoson, Matthews/Gloucester Counties, Williamsburg/Norge, Richmond, and beyond.

The 2010 Woman Poetry Project is underway.
Already the first week 4 poets have submitted a dozen or so poems, six are currently posted on the blog for all to see and read. Submit now, submit often. Go to the blog and read, go to the blog and be heard. www.womanpoetryproject.blogspot.com. It’s easy to submit by just shooting me an e-mail to any of my e-mail addresses, preferably to themindworm@yahoo.com, please include 2010 Woman Poetry Project in the subject line. Once I receive your submission, to post it I must type it out line by line. Be aware that the blog program is strictly left adjusted, so if your poem is exotic formatted or even with no more than a few simple indents or extended spaces, it will still not show all your formatting, just left adjusted lines. That’s not editing, it’s the program. Now flood me with your poems.

Check the Calendar for scheduled readings and performances this week, this month. The crew of The Venue at 35th Street in Norfolk have a busy schedule, including a show this afternoon. Check it all out at www.chesbaypoets.org/Calendar.html. While on the website, check out the Woman Poetry Project link to learn more about the project and pop the link there to visit the blogsite with the early submissions posted on the blog or to enter your own.

Hoo ahhhhhhhh
